Yves Saint Laurent’s fall 2009 men’s show in Paris this week opened with a short film directed by photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.
It consists of only a full-frame shot of Michael Pitt’s face as he listens to an unseen woman talk to him erotically about clothes.

AIDS is a mass murderer,
The campaign, designed by the German firm Das Comitee, aims to scare young people into using condoms by associating the deadly disease with the German dictator, Adolf Hitler.
Although the advert’s shock value is guaranteed to scare some mindless folks off, this campaign has raised several concerns as to the possibility of presenting a negative view of sufferers.
“I think the advert is incredibly stigmatising to people living with HIV who already face much stigma and discrimination due to ignorance about the virus,” a spokeswoman for the National AIDS Trust said.
The campaign also features poster adverts of Saddam Hussein and Joseph Stalin, and a radio spot that re-works a famous speech by Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi propagandist.
The videos will be broadcast on German television stations from next week, but only after 9pm.
